Metal Roofing that treats Marion County like home turf.
Belleview and Summerfield are about half an hour from our Bushnell shop, with Ocala just past that, and the answer on the phone is the person who runs the work.
Metal Roofing · Marion County
Plenty of roofers avoid metal. It is one of our core specialties.
Heat cooks shingles here. Belleview and Summerfield are about half an hour from our Bushnell shop, with Ocala just past that, and that closeness shows up in how Marion County jobs run: real response times, a crew that knows Ocala and Belleview street by street, and follow-through after the last truck leaves.
The case for metal in Central Florida is straightforward. A quality metal roof runs 40 to 70 years, two to three times the life of shingles. Panels installed to spec carry wind ratings well beyond what our storms typically deliver. Metal reflects solar heat instead of soaking it up, which shows up on summer cooling bills, and it will not ignite from a wind-blown ember.
It costs more up front than shingles, and we will never pretend otherwise. But if you plan to stay in your home longer than a decade, the math starts leaning metal, and we will walk you through both columns honestly before you decide.
Metal Roofing across Marion County
Every kind of metal roofing call, covered.
Different structures call for different panels. All of them are ours, no subbed-out metal crews.
- Metal roof repair. Fasteners, washers, seams and corrosion caught before they spread.
- Metal-over-structure builds. Barns, garages, shops and outbuildings, framed and finished.
- Standing-seam. Concealed fasteners, clean vertical lines, the premium residential choice.
- Ultra-rib panels. Strong, economical exposed-fastener panels, ideal for manufactured homes.
- 5V-crimp. The classic Florida profile, right at home on cottages and farmhouses.
- Architectural metal shingles. Metal longevity in a shingle silhouette for HOA-sensitive streets.
How Marion County shapes the work.
Marion’s inland position means heat more than salt, long uv exposure that cooks shingle mats, and spring storm lines that roll straight up the i-75 corridor. That is the backdrop for every metal roofing decision in this county, and it is why we do not quote from a truck window. We get on the roof, photograph what we find, and price what your roof actually needs rather than a one-size number.
The housing stock matters just as much. Marion County means horse-country properties with big barn and workshop roofs, Ocala’s mix of older neighborhoods and new construction, and the Marion-side Villages growth around Summerfield. Each of those ages differently, and the right call on one is the wrong call on another. We have put hands on all of them, which is why our recommendations come with reasons attached.
Permits go through the Marion County Building Safety office, inspections get scheduled without you chasing anyone, and the 10-year labor warranty we register on new roofs and re-roofs is the same one we stand behind at home in Bushnell. Heat cooks shingles here. We build for it.

Marion County asks us these about metal roofing.
Who handles the permit for metal roofing here?
We do, start to finish. Every qualifying job is filed with the Marion County Building Safety office in your name, inspected and closed out properly, so the work is on record where it counts. You never chase paperwork.
How fast can you get to Ocala?
Belleview and Summerfield are about half an hour from our Bushnell shop, with Ocala just past that. For urgent calls we can usually have eyes on a Ocala roof the same day, and a written number in your hands shortly after.
Do you really cover my part of Marion County?
Almost certainly. We work Ocala, Belleview, Summerfield, Dunnellon and The Villages (Marion side), and the rural addresses between them. Belleview and Summerfield are about half an hour from our Bushnell shop, with Ocala just past that. If you are anywhere in Marion County and unsure, call and we will give you a straight yes or no in one minute.
Can you put metal on a manufactured home?
Yes, and we do it regularly. Ultra-rib metal panels are one of the best upgrades a manufactured home can get, paired with the right approach to the low-slope sections. See our manufactured home roofing page or just call and describe what you have.
How much more does metal cost than shingles?
Typically noticeably more up front, depending on the panel system and the roof’s complexity. Spread over its 40-to-70-year life, metal usually costs less per year of service than shingles, and that is before the cooling savings. We will quote both so you can see your actual numbers side by side.
Is a metal roof loud when it rains?
Not on a house. Metal over solid decking and underlayment, which is how residential metal is installed, sounds about the same as any other roof in the rain. The tin-roof drumming people remember comes from open-frame barns with no deck under the panels.
Does a metal roof help in a hurricane?
It is one of the best roofs you can own in wind country. Standing-seam panels lock together and resist the uplift that peels shingles off, and quality systems carry ratings of 140 mph and beyond when installed to spec. Installation quality is everything, which is why ours is in-house.
